Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 21 October 2026
Atlas is a public directory with an AI representative. This statement says how usable it is with a keyboard, a screen reader or a phone, where it currently falls short, and how to get a barrier fixed.
Standard we build against
WCAG 2.2 level AA. Every release is checked with automated tools (Lighthouse, pa11y and the accessibility pass of Atlas Inspect itself), and automated checks are followed by manual keyboard and screen-reader testing.
What works today
- Real headings and landmarks:
main, nav, footer, oneh1per page. - Every link, button and input is reachable and operable with the keyboard, in a logical order.
- A visible focus ring, and a skip target back to the content from any page below home.
- Body text contrast above 4.5:1 on the dark surface; no information conveyed by colour alone.
- Layouts reflow to 320 CSS pixels without horizontal scrolling.
- The text assistant is fully usable without a microphone; voice is optional, never required.
- No autoplaying audio. If you start voice, it stops when you leave the page.
- Form errors are announced, and the newsletter box labels its field properly.
Known limitations
- Answers from the assistant are generated text. They are not machine-translated into simplified language, and their length varies.
- Voice output depends on the browser's speech support and on your speakers; the text answer is always shown as well.
- The directory can list thousands of entries. Time-consuming pages are paginated, but very large sub-category lists still take a moment on a slow connection.
- Third-party sites linked from the directory have their own accessibility, outside our control.
- Automated scanning detects only part of the barriers that real people hit, so a clean score is not proof.
Reporting a barrier
Email support@novaecosystem.live with the page address and what blocked you — a missing label, a keyboard trap, a screen reader announcing nothing, unreadable contrast. Barriers are answered within two working days and fixed in the next release where the fix is in our control. Requests for a document in another format are answered the same way.
Enforcement
Accessibility complaints under Greek law can be addressed to the Greek Ombudsman. Data matters go to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, as described in the Privacy Policy.
