Content overview: “AD100 Firms Geremia Design and Terremotto Restore a Joseph Eichler Midcentury Home with a ”. Architectural Digest Oct 6, 2026 • 5:23 PM 1 views In a recent restoration of a glass-walled, postwar Joseph Eichler house, AD100 firms Geremia Design and Terremotto, alongside Marsden Architecture, have created a striking interior centered on a custom terrazzo floor. The floor's colors—soft pinks, greens, and creams—set the palette for the entire home, exploring themes of femininity, nature, and softness. The clients, recent empty nesters, sought a space that felt both modern and welcoming.
The design team preserved Eichler's iconic indoor-outdoor connection while updating the home for contemporary living. The terrazzo, a hallmark of midcentury design, anchors the open-plan layout, with its aggregate carefully selected to echo the surrounding landscape. The result is a serene, light-filled residence that honors its architectural heritage while embracing a fresh, organic aesthetic.
