Content overview: “Ahsoka Season 2 May Mark the End of an Era for Star Wars on Disney+”. Disney+ has been the home of live-action Star Wars television since 2019, but that era may be winding down. Ahsoka season 2, the continuation of Rosario Dawson's portrayal of the fan-favorite character, could be the last live-action Star Wars series for some time. The show, created by Dave Filoni, follows Ahsoka Tano as she navigates the galaxy in the aftermath of the Empire's fall.
Its first season premiered in 2023, and the second season is expected to continue the storylines set up in The Mandalorian and other interconnected shows. With no other live-action Star Wars series officially announced beyond Ahsoka season 2, Disney+ may be shifting its strategy. The platform has delivered a steady stream of content, but mixed reception and changing priorities could mean a break.
