Content overview: “Alex Scott Leaves Disney+ Women’s Champions League Role to Focus on New Projects”. Former England international and broadcaster Alex Scott has stepped down from her presenting role on Disney+’s Women’s Champions League coverage, a move understood to be her own decision as she shifts focus to other ventures. Scott, who previously hosted BBC’s Football Focus, is prioritizing her new show, One More Word WSL, alongside former England teammates Anita Asante and Fara Williams. Her departure comes after Disney+ faced criticism following the opening round of this season’s Champions League, though no direct link has been confirmed.
Scott’s exit marks a notable change for the streaming platform’s football lineup, which had aimed to grow its audience in the women’s game. With Scott’s high profile and growing media portfolio, the move underscores the increasing competition for top sports presenters across traditional and digital broadcasters.
