Ali Zalzali has launched his inaugural couture collection titled ‘Natura Morta,’ which melds gothic elegance with botanical themes. The designs feature flowing silhouettes that symbolize the life cycles of plants and humans, reflecting a deep connection to nature. Alongside the collection, Zalzali released a short film that highlights the handcrafted quality and dark, romantic aesthetic of his botanical-inspired pieces.
The collection is influenced by Zalzali’s personal journey from Lebanon to Italy, combining classical design elements with modern creative techniques. It also pays tribute to Egyptian artist Youssef Nabil, emphasizing a dialogue between traditional artistry and technological innovation in fashion. This debut showcases how contemporary couture can integrate artistic heritage with new methods to create unique, expressive garments.
