Pakistan is drawing international attention as the United States and Iran prepare for pivotal peace discussions this weekend. With tensions escalating in the region, the outcome of these talks could significantly influence Middle Eastern stability. Iran’s parliamentary speaker has made clear that negotiations with the U.S. will not proceed without a ceasefire in Lebanon and the unfreezing of Iranian assets. This stance underscores Iran’s insistence on tangible concessions before engaging in dialogue.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has rejected any notion of tolls on shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, accusing Iran of attempting extortion. The strategic waterway remains a flashpoint due to its critical role in global oil transport. As both sides position themselves ahead of the talks, regional powers are closely monitoring developments, with Pakistan serving as a key diplomatic node amid growing geopolitical uncertainty.
