Here is what the page “Apple Revives Original iPod as Hidden Apple Music Easter Egg on 404 Page” contains. Apple has quietly added a nostalgic Easter egg to Apple Music's 404 error page: a virtual recreation of the first-generation iPod, spotted by users on social media on Friday. The clickwheel iPod, rendered in its classic white and steel design, is fully functional and preloaded with a playlist of early-2000s hits, including Coldplay's 'Viva La Vida.' The feature lets users spin the wheel and select tracks, evoking the tactile experience of the 2001 device that reshaped portable music.
The move is a clever nod to Apple's hardware history and a subtle engagement play—turning a dead-end page into a shareable moment. Apple has not officially announced the feature, but the Easter egg aligns with its pattern of hiding playful tributes in software. The full version stays on the original page, which this listing opens directly.
