Content overview: “Apple’s New $59 Siri Remote with Find My Works with Older Apple TV Models”. Apple has launched a new Siri Remote with built-in Find My support and a speaker, priced at $59. The remote is compatible not only with the latest Apple TV 4K but also with older models dating back to the Apple TV HD. This means users don’t need to upgrade their streaming box to get the improved remote.
The addition of Find My addresses a common pain point: lost remotes. Previous Siri Remotes had a basic iOS feature to help locate them, but the new model integrates fully with Apple’s Find My network, allowing users to ping the remote from an iPhone or iPad and see its last known location on a map. The remote retains the familiar aluminum design and touch-enabled clickpad but now includes a USB-C port for charging, replacing Lightning.
