“BBC Denies James Acaster Complained About Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan on The Celebr” — what this page in the network covers. The BBC has firmly rebutted claims that comedian James Acaster lodged a complaint about the conduct of co-stars Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan during filming of The Celebrity Traitors. A report in The Mail on Sunday suggested Acaster, known for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, had raised concerns with producers at Studio Lambert over 'macho banter' that left him feeling uncomfortable. A BBC spokesperson called the allegation 'categorically untrue,' emphasizing that no such complaint was made.
The denial comes as anticipation builds for the celebrity spin-off of the hit reality game show, which brings together high-profile names in a battle of deception and strategy. Acaster, Beckett, and Ranganathan are among the comedian-heavy cast, and the report threatened to overshadow the show's launch.
