This unexpected glimpse moves beyond "Wukong's" protagonist, the Monkey King, hinting at a broader franchise exploring diverse figures from Chinese mythology. The "non-canon" label fuels speculation about the trailer's exact purpose – whether a conceptual exploration or a narrative divergence – but underscores Game Science's ambition to build a lasting IP.
