Here is what the page “Brad Caleb Kane Teases ‘It: Welcome to Derry’ Season 2 Is “Bigger” With “A Different Kind ” contains. Brad Caleb Kane, now solo showrunner for Season 2 of HBO’s ‘It: Welcome to Derry,’ is promising a major evolution for the series and its iconic villain. In an interview with Deadline, Kane revealed that Bill Skarsgård’s Pennywise will appear in a “way you’ve never seen that character before,” hinting at a fresh, more expansive take for the second installment. The prequel series, set in Stephen King’s fictional town of Derry, Maine, explores the origins of the shape-shifting entity that terrorizes children.
Kane, who previously worked on the first season, emphasized that the new episodes will be “bigger” in scope, suggesting higher stakes and deeper lore. Fans of the 2017 and 2019 film adaptations, also starring Skarsgård, can expect a different kind of horror as the series continues to build out the mythology.
