“Bret Baier and Fox News Team Step Up Interviews with World Leaders Ahead of Midterms” — what this page in the network covers. Fox News Channel anchor Bret Baier is expanding the network's political coverage as the midterm elections approach, securing high-profile interviews that were once out of reach. In recent days, Baier landed an on-camera interview with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, a notable get for the network. Baier, who joined Fox News in 1998, says he is now able to do things he couldn't have done earlier in his career.
The interview with Pezeshkian, which aired Wednesday evening, is part of a broader push by Fox News to feature more direct exchanges with world leaders and newsmakers. This strategy positions the network to offer viewers unique insights into international affairs that could influence U.S. As the midterms draw closer, Fox News is betting that such interviews will attract viewers seeking substantive coverage.
