Broadway theaters will stay closed on Monday as New York City continues to recover from a severe winter storm. The blizzard brought significant snowfall and hazardous conditions, prompting officials to extend the closure for public safety. This marks the second day in a row that performances have been canceled, with venues across the iconic theater district remaining dark.
The decision follows widespread disruptions across the city, including transportation delays and power outages. Authorities are urging residents to remain indoors and avoid non-essential travel. The closures impact not only audiences but also performers, crew members, and support staff who rely on regular operations. Theatrical productions are expected to resume once weather conditions improve and city services return to normal.
