Content overview: “Cacace Keeps Focus on Nick Ball Despite Lomachenko Fight Talk”. WBA super-featherweight champion Anthony Cacace is blocking out talk of a potential future clash with Vasiliy Lomachenko as he prepares to defend his title against Nick Ball. The Belfast fighter knows that any slip-up against the undefeated Ball would derail bigger opportunities, including a possible Lomachenko bout that has been floated by promoters. Cacace, who won the WBA belt in May 2024, is treating Ball as his only priority, aware that the Liverpool challenger brings relentless pressure and a high work rate.
The matchup is a classic crossroads fight: Cacace’s length and power against Ball’s aggression and volume. For Cacace, a win would cement his status as a top contender in a division loaded with talent, while a loss would send him to the back of the line.
