Here is what the page “Carragher warns Man United's pressing problems 'could get very messy' for Carrick” contains. Jamie Carragher has warned that Manchester United's lack of intensity in their pressing game 'could get very messy, very quickly' for head coach Michael Carrick if the issue is not addressed. The former Liverpool defender was analysing United's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur, a result that extended their inconsistent run in the Premier League. Carragher pointed to a lack of coordinated pressure from the front as a key weakness, suggesting that opponents are finding it too easy to play through the midfield.
The draw against Spurs highlighted familiar problems for United, who struggled to impose themselves for large periods of the game. Carragher's comments will add to the growing scrutiny on Carrick, who was appointed on an interim basis following the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
