This page features a report by ABC News correspondent Jay O’Brien on a reenactment of the Battles of Lexington and Concord. The event commemorates the bravery of the colonial minutemen who resisted British troops in April 1775, an episode that marked the beginning of the American Revolutionary War. The reenactment is part of a larger celebration called Disney Celebrates America, a continuous 24-hour broadcast available across various platforms.
The segment’s purpose is to revisit and highlight these significant moments in American history, aiming to educate viewers about the nation’s founding events and the enduring determination of its early leaders. By presenting this historical reenactment, the program seeks to inspire a deeper appreciation for the country’s origins as it approaches its 250th anniversary.
