The Clive Davis and Recording Academy’s Pre-Grammy Gala will return to the Beverly Hilton on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2027, the night before the Grammy Awards. For the first time, the event will be a posthumous tribute to Clive Davis, who died on June 22 at age 93. The gala, a fixture of Grammy weekend for decades, has honored artists from Whitney Houston to Alicia Keys and drawn industry titans.
Davis’s influence shaped modern music through his work at Columbia, Arista, J, and RCA Records. The 2027 edition will celebrate his ‘life and legacy,’ though organizers have not yet announced performers or honorees. The Recording Academy, which co-hosts the event, emphasizes that the gala will continue Davis’s tradition of spotlighting both established and emerging talent.
