Formwork Architects has achieved a remarkable architectural feat in North London with the transformation of a derelict Edwardian care home into the contemporary Crouch End House. Following years of neglect, the property has been sensitively restored to serve as a modern family dwelling, effectively blending historic preservation with innovative design.
A standout feature of the project is a striking two-story brick extension that serves as the centerpiece of the renovation. This new structural addition not only elevates the building's aesthetic profile but also facilitates a fluid connection between the refined interior living spaces and an ingenious sunken patio.
