Content overview: “Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.5 Arrives Alongside Netflix's Edgerunners II Premiere”. Six years after its troubled launch, CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 continues to evolve with the release of Patch 2.5, timed to the premiere of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II on Netflix. The update underscores the developer's long-term commitment to the game, which has seen a remarkable turnaround since its December 2020 debut. While the patch notes detail balance changes, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements, the simultaneous release with the anime sequel highlights a broader transmedia strategy.
By aligning game updates with the Netflix series, CD Projekt Red aims to reignite interest in Night City and attract both returning players and newcomers.
