“Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 Arrives October 22 with Edgerunners Season 2 Content: New Cyberw” — what this page in the network covers. CD Projekt Red is releasing Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 on October 22 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, timed with the second season of the hit anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The free update adds new items and features inspired by the anime, including cyberware customization and a new dual-wielding playstyle. A livestream preview is set for Wednesday at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, with Cyberpunk 2 associate game director Pawel Sasko expressing excitement.
The update continues the game's redemption arc after a rocky 2020 launch, following multiple patches, the Phantom Liberty expansion, and a PS5 Pro enhancement. Edgerunners, which debuted in 2022, is credited with reviving interest in the game, and CD Projekt Red previously added anime-inspired cosmetics. The full version stays on the original page, which this listing opens directly.
