Here is what the page “Cynthia Erivo Jokes About Wanting a Paul Hollywood Handshake Over an Oscar in SNL U.K. Mon” contains. Cynthia Erivo brought her charm and humor to the "Saturday Night Live U.K." stage, opening her monologue with a playful confession: despite being an almost-EGOT winner with an Emmy, Grammy, and Tony, the one accolade she still craves is not an Oscar but the legendary "Hollywood handshake" from "The Great British Bake Off" judge Paul Hollywood. The "Wicked" star imagined herself competing in the famous tent, quipping about having a "soggy bottom" and feeling "freaking stressed" under the pressure of a technical challenge.
Her lighthearted take on British baking culture resonated with the audience, blending her transatlantic appeal with a very British obsession. Erivo's appearance as host underscores her rising star power and versatility, moving seamlessly from Oscar-nominated dramatic roles to live comedy.
