“Dalton: Iran Conflict Has Become a 'Forever War'” — what this page in the network covers. Bale Dalton, US Navy Reserve Captain, Democratic Nominee for Florida's 7th Congressional District, and former NASA Chief of Staff, tells Kailey Leinz and Joe Mathieu on "Balance of Power" that the war with Iran has become a "forever war" with no strategic value or defined end state. Dalton argues that deploying a third aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East puts more US service members in harm's way and makes the country more vulnerable. Dalton's remarks come amid escalating tensions with Iran and growing debate over the US military presence in the region.
He questions the effectiveness of current strategy and calls for a reassessment of objectives. As a congressional candidate and military veteran, Dalton offers a unique perspective on the costs and consequences of prolonged conflict.
