“DC Reveals Hal Jordan's New Green Lantern Look for 2027 Series, Inspired by Warhammer 40K” — what this page in the network covers. DC Comics has announced a brand-new Green Lantern series starring Hal Jordan, set to launch in 2027, and the publisher has unveiled a striking redesign for the character that fans are already comparing to the grimdark aesthetic of Warhammer 40K. The new look moves away from the classic sleek spandex and introduces bulkier, armored elements, suggesting a more militaristic and battle-hardened take on the intergalactic cop.
Hal Jordan, the most iconic Green Lantern, has undergone several visual updates over the decades, but this redesign marks a significant departure that could signal a tonal shift for the franchise. While DC has not revealed the creative team or story details, the early art indicates a focus on cosmic warfare and a grittier, more tactical approach to the Green Lantern Corps. The full version stays on the original page, which this listing opens directly.
