“DC Unveils New Elseworlds Green Lantern Series 'Doomed Cosmos' with Warhammer 40K-Inspired” — what this page in the network covers. DC Comics has announced a bold new Elseworlds series, Green Lantern: Doomed Cosmos, that reimagines the iconic space cops as armored warriors reminiscent of Warhammer 40K space marines. The announcement, made by DC Comics, signals a fresh, gritty take on the Green Lantern mythos outside main continuity. While specific creative team details were not disclosed in the initial reveal, the visual direction alone has sparked immediate fan interest.
The Elseworlds imprint allows DC to explore alternate realities without impacting ongoing storylines, and Doomed Cosmos appears to lean heavily into grimdark aesthetics—bulkier armor, heavier weaponry, and a more militaristic tone than traditional Green Lantern tales. This stylistic shift could attract readers from both comic and tabletop gaming communities, expanding the franchise's reach.
