Military expert Frank Ledwidge has raised concerns about the growing strain on Ukraine’s air defense systems due to sustained Russian aerial attacks. Despite continued Western support, the volume and persistence of missile barrages are depleting interceptor missile reserves faster than they can be replenished. This shortage poses a serious challenge to maintaining effective defense against incoming threats, particularly as Russia continues to launch coordinated strikes across multiple fronts.
The situation underscores a broader strategic issue for NATO allies, who face limited stocks of advanced interceptors needed to counter modern aerial threats. Without timely production and delivery of new missiles, Ukraine's ability to respond to future attacks may be significantly weakened. The report emphasizes the urgent need for increased manufacturing capacity and coordinated supply efforts among allied nations to close this critical defense gap.
