Content overview: “Detroiters Starring Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson Is Finally Free to Stream After 8 Year”. Comedy Central’s beloved sitcom Detroiters, starring Tim Robinson and Sam Richardson, is now available to stream for free, eight years after its original premiere. The show, which ran for two seasons from 2017 to 2018, follows two ad men in Detroit who create low-budget, often absurd commercials for local businesses. Despite critical acclaim and a devoted cult following, the series was canceled after 20 episodes.
Now, fans and new viewers alike can watch it without a subscription, potentially introducing the show to a wider audience. The move comes as Robinson and Richardson have both seen their profiles rise—Robinson with his Netflix sketch series I Think You Should Leave and Richardson with roles in Veep and The Afterparty. Detroiters is often cited as one of the decade’s best sitcoms, praised for its sharp writing, endearing chemistry between the leads, and affectionate portrayal of Detroit.
