Content overview: “Disney Developing Halloweentown 5 with New Writers, Original Creator Involved”. Disney is reviving its beloved Halloweentown franchise with a fifth installment now in early development. The project brings in writing duo Lily Houghton and Ryan Koehn, known for their work on Jungle Cruise, to pen the script based on characters created by Paul Bernbaum, who wrote the original 1998 film that launched the series. While plot details remain under wraps and no casting has been confirmed, the return to this spooky, family-friendly world is significant for fans who grew up with the adventures of Marnie Piper and the Cromwell family.
The original Halloweentown became a Disney Channel staple, spawning three sequels and cementing its place as a Halloween viewing tradition. With nostalgia-driven content performing strongly on streaming platforms, Disney is likely aiming to capture both original viewers and a new generation. The full version stays on the original page, which this listing opens directly.
