“Dwight Yorke Eyes Ghana Coaching Role: 'I'm a Manager, Not a Rookie'” — what this page in the network covers. Former Manchester United and Trinidad and Tobago striker Dwight Yorke is making it clear that he is a seasoned manager, not a newcomer, as he emerges as a candidate for the vacant Ghana head coach position. The Ghana Football Association is searching for a successor after Carlos Queiroz departed on October 1, and Yorke is reportedly among the names under consideration, alongside Pape Thiaw, Aliou Cissé, and former Morocco coach Walid Regragui, according to Ghanaian media.
Speaking from Dubai, Yorke emphasized his managerial experience, which includes leading Trinidad and Tobago's national team, and expressed pride in his CV since transitioning from his playing days. The 52-year-old's candidacy highlights his ambition to take on a high-profile international role and his desire to be recognized for his coaching credentials rather than his past as a Premier League star.
