Here is what the page “ENS DAO to Vote on Upgraded Ethereum Naming System: What .eth Holders Need to Know” contains. The Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is seeking approval from its decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) to activate a major upgrade to the .eth naming system. If passed, the transition would temporarily pause new .eth registrations for several hours, though existing domain holders would still be able to renew their names without needing to migrate. The upgrade aims to improve the protocol's efficiency and scalability, but the exact technical changes were not detailed in the source.
This move matters because ENS is a critical piece of Web3 infrastructure, and any downtime could affect users looking to secure new names. The DAO vote will determine the timing and execution of the upgrade, with no date specified yet. This listing links straight to the original page, where the content is available in full.
