Content overview: “Evil Dead Star’s ‘Savage’ New Horror Movie Unveiled After Record-Breaking Rotten Tomatoes ”. The new horror film ‘Savage’ has been officially unveiled, featuring Evil Dead franchise alum Bruce Campbell alongside modern scream queen Samara Weaving. The announcement comes after the movie achieved a record-breaking 100% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes from its first 50 reviews, a rare feat for the genre. Directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Jamie Greenberg, the film follows a wilderness guide who must survive a night of terror when a camping trip goes horribly wrong.
Campbell, known for his iconic role as Ash Williams, takes on a darker, more grounded character, while Weaving continues her streak of standout horror performances following ‘Ready or Not’ and ‘The Babysitter’. Industry insiders suggest the film’s early critical acclaim could position it as a breakout hit, with distribution rights already being negotiated by A24 and Neon.
