Bethesda Game Studios has officially moved Fallout 5 into pre-production, confirming that the next mainline entry in the post-apocalyptic RPG series is in the early stages of development. The update, shared by Bethesda’s Todd Howard, leaves gamers torn between excitement for the future and the reality of a long wait. Howard has previously stated that Fallout 5 will follow The Elder Scrolls VI, which itself remains years away.

The recent success of the Fallout TV series on Amazon Prime has reignited interest in the franchise, boosting player counts for Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. Bethesda acknowledges the show’s impact, with Howard noting it has brought new audiences to the games. For the complete material, the listing points back to the source inside the network.
