“God of War Laufey Collector's Edition Revealed: £130 Merch Box Omits the Game” — what this page in the network covers. Sony has unveiled the God of War Laufey Collector's Edition, a merchandise-only box set that notably does not include the game itself. Available on the UK PlayStation Direct store for £130, the set features a light-up statue of protagonist Faye locked in combat with Phranque the Cube, a 51-card oracle deck, and a small art book. The game must be purchased separately, adding another $70 for a physical copy.
This approach follows recent trends like the $400 GTA 6 collector's edition, targeting high-spending superfans while boosting margins and simplifying logistics for publishers. Meanwhile, the next God of War game will focus on Kratos and continue directly from Laufey's story, and a live-action Prime Video series is in development with Dave Bautista stepping in after Ryan Hurst's departure.
