Content overview: “Hailee Steinfeld Voices Lead in 'Hexed' and Covers The Cars' 'Magic' — Listen”. Hailee Steinfeld is lending her voice to more than just the lead role in the upcoming animated film 'Hexed' — she's also delivering a spellbinding cover of The Cars' 1984 classic 'Magic.' The track, released as part of the movie's promotion, showcases Steinfeld's vocal range while paying homage to the original's synth-pop charm. The cover arrives as the actress and singer continues to balance a successful music career with high-profile acting roles, including voicing the film's protagonist.
The choice of 'Magic' aligns with the movie's supernatural themes, and Steinfeld's interpretation adds a modern, ethereal twist that could introduce the song to a new generation. With 'Hexed' set to premiere soon, the cover serves as both a nostalgic hook for older audiences and a fresh entry point for younger fans.
