Isabella Esler and John Cardoza have been cast in the leading roles of Veronica Sawyer and Jason “J.D.” Dean for the stage production of “Heathers The Musical.” They will take over performances starting April 27 at New World Stages, succeeding Kuhoo Verma and Casey Likes, who previously held the roles. The musical, known for its dark comedy and cult following, continues its run with this new casting update.
The announcement marks a fresh chapter for the production, bringing new interpretations to two central characters defined by their complex dynamics and sharp wit. Esler and Cardoza join a cast already praised for its energetic performances and faithful adaptation of the original film’s tone. Audiences can expect a continuation of the show’s signature blend of satire, music, and suspense as it moves forward with its updated ensemble.
