In Hong Kong’s Mid-Levels, NC Design & Architecture has reimagined a family home into the Chapel Residence, a six-storey sanctuary blending modern living with spiritual reflection. Spanning 418 square metres, the residence replaces traditional layouts with flowing organic forms and delicate religious motifs, creating an atmosphere of quiet reverence. Natural materials and sculpted concrete are used throughout, carefully shaped to guide light and shadow, enhancing the sense of sacred geometry and calm.
The design prioritizes emotional well-being and daily contemplation, transforming private living into a continuous experience of peace. By integrating spiritual symbolism with functional residential needs, the project redefines urban domestic spaces. It stands as a testament to how architecture can support inner stillness within a dense city environment, offering a model for homes that nurture both body and soul.
