Content overview: “How Old Is Missy Cooper in Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory?”. Missy Cooper, Sheldon's twin sister, is a key character in the prequel series Young Sheldon, even though she only appears sporadically in The Big Bang Theory. In Young Sheldon, which is set in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Missy starts the series as a 9-year-old in 1989, sharing the same birth year as Sheldon. The show follows her through her early teens, with the character aging roughly one year per season, making her around 14 by Season 6.
In The Big Bang Theory, Missy appears as an adult, played by Courtney Henggeler, and her age aligns with Sheldon's, placing her in her late 20s to early 30s during her guest appearances. Understanding Missy's age across both shows helps fans track the Cooper family timeline and highlights the contrast between her more relatable, socially adept personality and Sheldon's eccentric genius.
