Iran has introduced a new condition in ongoing talks between the United States and Iran, demanding that Lebanon be included in any proposed ceasefire agreement. According to Shazaib Wallah, France 24's correspondent in Islamabad, Pakistan, these negotiations were expected to begin shortly but have been delayed by this latest development. The Iranian proposal marks a significant expansion of the current scope, potentially broadening the conflict's geographic reach beyond existing discussions.
The demand underscores the complex regional dynamics at play, with Lebanon’s involvement raising questions about the broader implications for Middle East stability. While the U.S. and Iran continue to engage, the inclusion of Lebanon remains a point of contention. The situation is being closely monitored as diplomatic efforts unfold.
