Israel reported that it carried out a strike overnight targeting Ali Larijani, a senior Iranian security official, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict now entering its third week. The claim has not been confirmed by Iran, which has so far remained silent on the matter. If verified, Larijani’s death would represent one of the highest-profile casualties among Iranian leadership since the war began 18 days ago, with the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei having been among the first to be targeted.
