The Israeli military announced an airstrike targeting the Zrariyeh bridge over the Litani River in southern Lebanon. This strike marks the first acknowledgment of an attack on civilian infrastructure during the ongoing campaign against Hezbollah. According to the military, the bridge was utilized by Hezbollah militants to move between northern and southern Lebanon, though no evidence was provided to support this assertion.
The incident highlights the escalating tensions in the region, with infrastructure playing a strategic role in the conflict. The bridge’s location in southern Lebanon underscores its importance in movement and logistics. This development adds to the broader context of military operations and regional security concerns.
