“James Gunn Gives Update on DCU Batman and Flash Status in Fan Q&A” — what this page in the network covers. DC Studios co-head James Gunn has offered a candid update on the status of Batman and The Flash in the new DC Universe, addressing fan questions about when these iconic heroes will appear. Gunn confirmed that a new Batman is in development for the DCU, separate from Matt Reeves' The Batman franchise starring Robert Pattinson, but said the project is still in early stages with no script yet.
He also indicated that The Flash will be part of the DCU's future, though no timeline was provided, suggesting the character won't appear until after the current slate of announced projects. Gunn's comments come as DC Studios reboots its cinematic universe following the end of the DCEU, with Superman (2025) and other titles already in production. The full version stays on the original page, which this listing opens directly.
