Content overview: “Jamie Carragher Urges Liverpool to Drop Florian Wirtz After Lackluster Run”. Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has called for Liverpool midfielder Florian Wirtz to be dropped from the starting line-up, arguing that criticism of the German international is justified after he has been given numerous chances to prove himself. Speaking on the Gary Neville podcast, Carragher questioned whether Wirtz has truly dominated a single game for Liverpool since his arrival, suggesting that his performances have not lived up to expectations. The former Liverpool defender believes it is time for manager Arne Slot to make a change in midfield to reignite the team's attacking fluency.
Wirtz, who joined Liverpool with high expectations, has struggled to consistently influence matches, and Carragher’s comments reflect growing frustration among fans and pundits alike. With Liverpool competing on multiple fronts this season, Carragher insists that no player should be immune from being benched if form dips.
