Here is what the page “Jerusalem Pride Parade Marches Toward Knesset to Advocate for Equal Rights” contains. Jerusalem’s annual Pride and Tolerance march took place this Thursday, coinciding with the start of Pride Month. This year, the event took on a heightened political significance as the route led marchers directly to the Knesset, Israel’s parliament. Participants used the platform to demand legislative changes and greater equal rights for the LGBTQ community.
While Israel is often noted for providing more civil rights to LGBT individuals than many of its neighbors in the Middle East, attendees of the march emphasized that significant progress is still needed. France 24's Monte Francis reports from the ground on the atmosphere and the specific demands of the demonstrators. The full version stays on the original page, which this listing opens directly.
