Here is what the page “Jim Henson's Dark Crystal Returns in Brand-New Game, Publisher Confirms” contains. The beloved fantasy world of Thra is coming back to interactive entertainment. Publisher Enad Global 7 has confirmed that a new video game based on Jim Henson's 1982 cult classic film The Dark Crystal is officially in development. The project is being handled by Bonus Stage Publishing and developer River End Games, the studio behind the narrative adventure Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream.
While specific platforms and a release window have not yet been announced, the confirmation alone is significant for fans who have followed the franchise through its many stops and starts over the past four decades. The Dark Crystal has seen renewed interest in recent years thanks to the acclaimed 2019 Netflix prequel series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, which won an Emmy but was cancelled after one season.
