“John Cena and Jessica Biel's 'Fast & Furious' Meets 'Jumanji' Action Movie Tops Apple TV+ ” — what this page in the network covers. Apple TV+ has a surprise hit on its hands with its latest action movie, starring John Cena and Jessica Biel, which has quickly become the platform's most-watched title despite receiving poor reviews from critics. The film, which blends the high-octane car stunts of 'Fast & Furious' with the video game world of 'Jumanji', has resonated with audiences looking for adrenaline-fueled escapism. For Apple, this success underscores the value of star power and genre appeal in driving subscriptions, even when critical reception is lukewarm.
The film's performance could influence future content investments in big-budget, action-packed originals that prioritize broad entertainment over prestige drama. As streaming competition intensifies, Apple TV+ may lean further into crowd-pleasing blockbusters to attract and retain viewers.
