A closer look at “Manhunters vs. Sinestro: Which Villain Defines Green Lantern?”, exactly as the source publishes it. The Green Lantern mythos boasts two iconic adversaries: the ancient android Manhunters and the fallen Lantern Sinestro. Each brings distinct menace to the Corps. The Manhunters, created by the Guardians as their first peacekeeping force, embody cold, relentless justice gone wrong. Their rebellion against the Guardians seeded millennia of conflict and led to the creation of the Green Lantern Corps itself.
Sinestro, once considered the greatest Green Lantern of all, uses fear and tyranny to impose order on his homeworld of Korugar. His yellow power ring, forged from fear, is the antithesis of the Lanterns' willpower. While the Manhunters represent a systemic failure of the Guardians, Sinestro is a personal betrayal that haunts Hal Jordan and the Corps.
