Here is what the page “Massive Crowds Attend Funeral Prayers for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Iran” contains. Large crowds gathered in Iran for the funeral prayers of the slain leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, with the attendance being significantly larger than the previous day. While three of Khamenei’s sons were present at the coffin, his son and successor, Mojtaba, notably did not make a public appearance. Reporting from the scene, Reza Sayah notes that the Iranian regime is likely to use the high turnout as evidence of widespread public support.
The ceremony honored the late leader and four family members, serving as a significant moment of mourning and political messaging for the state. Analysts are paying close attention to the dynamics of the funeral, including who was present and who was absent, to gauge the current state of leadership in Iran.
