Content overview: “Matt Damon and David Letterman Make Surprise Cameos in The Gilded Age Season 4 Premiere on”. HBO's period drama The Gilded Age returned for its fourth season with unexpected star power: brief cameos by Oscar winner Matt Damon and former late-night host David Letterman. The two appear together at about 8:33 into the episode, crossing a street as two gentlemen in period-appropriate attire. Their appearance is so fleeting that viewers might miss it without a second look.
The cameos add a playful layer to the show's meticulous recreation of 1880s New York high society, and they are likely to generate buzz and social media chatter. Executive producer Julian Fellowes has previously included subtle celebrity cameos, but these two are among the most high-profile. Fans of the series will want to keep their eyes peeled during the premiere, as the moment passes quickly. The full version stays on the original page, which this listing opens directly.
