Michael Jantzen’s Garden Retreat features a unique design element that allows users to manually rearrange its 30 panels. Unlike traditional garden structures that are fixed in place, this retreat offers a dynamic experience where the configuration can be changed by hand, giving the space a customizable and interactive quality.
This design challenges the conventional idea of garden shelters, such as pergolas or gazebos, which typically remain static. By enabling physical adjustment of the panels, Jantzen’s creation transforms the way people engage with outdoor spaces, offering both functionality and an evolving aesthetic. The project highlights innovation in garden architecture, emphasizing user involvement in shaping their environment.
