Nasa has begun moving the Artemis II rocket from storage to the launchpad at Kennedy Space Centre, preparing for a planned launch in early April. This mission marks the first crewed voyage around the Moon in over five decades. The expedition is expected to last roughly 10 days and aims to send astronauts farther into space than any previous human mission.
The crew for Artemis II consists of four members: commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, and mission specialist Christina Koch, with a second mission specialist also onboard. This mission is a significant step in advancing human space exploration and testing technologies for future deep space travel. The successful launch and completion of Artemis II will pave the way for subsequent missions beyond lunar orbit.
