Content overview: “Netflix Orders Pilot for ‘Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging’ Series Adaptation”. Netflix has ordered a pilot for a new series based on Louise Rennison’s beloved young adult novel ‘Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging.’ The project is produced by Fifth Season and Rise Films. If the pilot is greenlit to series, it would be the second screen adaptation of Rennison’s work, following the 2008 Paramount film ‘Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging,’ which became a cult favorite. The novel, first published in 1999, is the first in the ‘Confessions of Georgia Nicolson’ series, which chronicles the hilarious and awkward teenage life of Georgia Nicolson as she navigates boys, friendships, and family in England.
The books have sold millions of copies worldwide and are known for their witty, diary-style narrative and relatable coming-of-age themes. This new adaptation aims to bring a fresh take to the story for a new generation of viewers on the streaming platform.
